In previous posts we’ve talked about our recent business transformation and our evolving UAS capabilities, but how do we measure our success and make sure that we stand out from the crowd?
One of the many ways we benchmark ourselves is to enter relevant industry awards. This forces us to look at our business from a different perspective and compare ourselves to our competitors whether that’s through innovation, diversity, growth, client satisfaction, investment in people or strategic thinking.
We’ve won a number of prestigious awards recently, the highlights of which include:
Small Business of the Year
Winning ‘Small Business of the Year’ at the Lincolnshire Business Awards in 2015 was a fantastic achievement! Our entry was based on our transformation from a niche safety company to one of the UK’s leading aviation consultancies, and ultimately reflected the incredibly strong effort of the entire team to get us there. Winning this award opened up many opportunities for us, including a visit from our local Lincoln MP, Mr Karl McCartney.
IET ‘Innovation in Safety’ Award
In June 2016, we won a joint award with the A400M Project Team (UK MOD) for providing safety innovation in the A400M Programme. We were particularly thrilled to have been recognised by The IET for our collaborative efforts with the client.
Air Cdre Stephen Wilcock, Head of the A400M Programme at DE&S (MOD) commented “This award is recognition of an outstanding and extensive piece of work that has set some firm foundations for the A400M programme. It is also a great example of the collaborative effort between the A400M PT and Osprey to deliver technical excellence that has ultimately helped to ensure that the A400M programme has stayed on track to deliver key user requirements and planned capability milestones.”
AOA – Highly Commended for ‘Best Consultancy’
In November 2015, we really enjoyed ourselves at the AOA Annual Conference & Awards, and were pleased that Osprey were Highly Commended for ‘Best Consultancy’. Of course it would have been nice to win, but we were up against come very serious competition including NATS and Pascall + Watson.
However, we’ve just been informed that we have made the shortlist for ‘Best Consultancy’ again this year. The awards will be presented on Monday 21st November 2016 as part of the AOA Annual Conference 2016.
We’re hoping that we’ve got it in the bag this time – wish us luck!
