It has recently been announced that the onshore cabling works for DONG Energy’s 1.2 GW Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm has started:

Osprey played a key role in supporting DONG Energy to discharge a planning condition relating to the proximity of the works to North Coates Aerodrome. Osprey developed a safety plan in consultation with North Coates Flying Club that would proactively manage any risks the onshore cabling works might present to aircraft operations at the Aerodrome.
Once completed, Hornsea Project One will become the world’s first gigawatt scale wind farm, far from shore. Scheduled to commence operation by 2020, the wind farm will have the capacity to supply over 1 million UK homes with electricity.
