We’re delighted to welcome Kyra Thompson to Osprey as an Apprentice in our Instrument Flight Procedure Design (IFPD) Team. Kyra brings a wealth of experience and transferable skills from her military career and will work towards becoming a qualified and state approved Instrument Flight Procedure Designer working across a portfolio of airport projects.
Prior to joining Osprey, Kyra worked for the Northern Learning Trust as a Community Engagement Tutor where she supported clients, including Military Veterans to develop personal skills and to overcome various barriers into training or employment.
Kyra also served in the Royal Air Force (RAF) for 13 years where she actively supported military operations both on UK airfields and on overseas deployments by working alongside air traffic controllers, engineering staff and aircrew to provide effective and timely communications and aeronautical information to enable safe operations.

The combination of her RAF Flight Operations experience and project management expertise will provide a solid foundation as she works towards becoming a qualified Instrument Flight Procedure Designer. Kyra will benefit from plenty of hands-on experience by supporting the team in the planning, delivery and execution of various client IFP and airport projects.”
Kyra will be based at our Northallerton office, in North Yorkshire.
