Team Tango Raises £6,000 for St Peter’s Hospice

Scroll

A team of riders from across the Group recently took part in the 2024 Tour De Bristol cycle ride in support of St Peter’s Hospice, raising funds to help support patients and their loved ones across the local community during the most difficult of times.

All the training and commitment paid off as each of our riders completed the challenging 100km route through Bristol and out into the Gloucestershire countryside, raising an impressive £6,029 (including Gift Aid). St Peter’s Hospice has recently announced the final total raised by the event; a staggering £138,000, which is an event record! TP Group are very proud to be part of such an amazing and rewarding day and were lucky enough to be able to visit the hospice and see at first hand the incredible support they provide together with the beautiful gardens which are a wonderful environment for sitting and reflecting. This event was a great way to promote teamwork across the wider Science Group with colleagues participating from TP Group, Osprey CSL and TSG. Science Group further supported the event by making a generous contribution to boost our fundraising total.

Gareth Vaughen, Osprey’s Delivery Director said “The Tour De Bristol was such an enjoyable and well organised event and was a fantastic way to support the hospice as a team. St Peter’s Hospice is very special to Bristol and as a business we are very much committed to making a difference and putting back into the communities in which we work. We were delighted to be able to contribute to the phenomenal success of the day.

Molly O’Donoghue, Fundraising Events Manager for St Peter’s Hospice said “We were delighted to be joined by Team Tango at Tour de Bristol this year. They’ve raised a phenomenal amount for the Hospice and we’re so grateful for their hard work tackling 100km and plenty of hills, all to support patients and their loved ones across the local community.”
