Osprey is continuing to provide regulatory support to the MAA, this time with Atkins as a task through the Engineering Delivery Partner (EDP) Agreement that is managed by UK Ministry of Defence’s Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S). EDP is helping the UK MOD to reduce costs of their engineering services, while ensuring the UK’s Armed Forces receive the best equipment and support.
Osprey and Atkins are providing specialist regulatory support in reviewing and updating the 5000 Series Regulatory Articles (excluding 5800 series). This includes addressing inconsistencies, rationalisation of RA, removal of process, incorporation of EASA Part 21 updates and making recommendations for a 5000 Series structure alignment with Civil Regulations.
The Engineering Delivery Partner (EDP) is a collaboration between the Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) Engineering Function and the Aurora Engineering Partnership. QinetiQ, Atkins (a member of SNC-Lavalin Group) and BMT joined forces to form the Aurora Engineering Partnership to support the DE&S change agenda and drive benefits through the delivery of engineering services.
