Tim joined Osprey in August 2022 after serving 23 years in the Royal Air Force (RAF) as an Air Cartographer. During his final year in the RAF, Tim completed a BA(Hons) in Organisational Capability and Development at the School of Aviation and Security, Buckinghamshire New University (BNU). Whilst at BNU, Tim completed his dissertation entitled ‘A review into the achievability of the UK Governments’ 2050 CO2 emission strategy within the UK aviation industry’.
During his military career, Tim gained extensive technical and managerial experience within the Geospatial Information Services (GIS), Computer Aid Design (CAD), Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) and aeronautical data management arenas. His experience extends to instructing at both the School of Air Cartography (SOAC) and the Royal School of Military Survey (RSMS).
More recently, he has project managed the concept design, compliance, implementation and delivery of the MOD’s principal flight critical air navigation publication, the UK Military Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) and the associated web-based AI Management (AIM) service capabilities. Prior to joining Osprey, Tim worked at No 1 Aeronautical Information Documents Unit (AIDU) at RAF Northolt, as the Audit and Assurance Manager. In this role he assured multiple lines of compliance against NATO, MAA, ICAO, CAA, BSI, EUROCAE and EASA requirements for UK Defence’s aeronautical charting and aeronautical information/data provision. Tim will be working in the Airports & Airspace team within Osprey, on projects spanning airspace change, airport support and aeronautical information.
