Andy joined the Osprey Airports and Aviation Team in January 2023 after a highly successful four years at Norwich Airport as the Air Traffic Services Manager and latterly the Head of Airfield Operations, where he was responsible for all safety and regulatory aspects of Air Traffic Control and the airside operational departments as well as airport safeguarding.
Prior to his civilian career, Andy was in the Royal Air Force for 30 years as an Air Traffic Controller and Air Traffic Management specialist where he worked at numerous UK and International airfields as well as the en-route center at NATS Swanwick. He has substantial experience in all aspects of Air Traffic Management, including Safety Management Systems, airspace management, regulatory compliance, and risk management. As the Business Change Manager for Project Marshall, Andy was embedded with the Defence Equipment & Support project team at Abbeywood and provided his expertise during the selection process and subsequent contract award. During his time as the Senior Air Traffic Control Officer at Royal Air Force Marham, he was integral to the successful delivery of various infrastructure and runway resurfacing projects to enable the introduction of the F35 Lightning, all while continuing to support the Tornado Force on operations. His last military role was as the ATM CNS Policy lead within the MoD; where he operated as a specialist in future airspace and Single European Skies equipment developments for European airspace, managing and engaging with stakeholders at all levels across civil and military organisations in the UK and overseas, as well as leading diverse teams to reach strategic goals.
