Osprey says a fond farewell to Nicola Vaughan

Scroll

Today, we said a very fond farewell to Nicola Vaughan, Board Member and Chief Operating Officer. Nic will shortly depart for Dubai, where her husband has taken a senior role, to start a new adventure overseas with her family.

Nic joined Osprey in 2011 as Director (Wind Energy), following three years as Head of Aviation of RenewableUK where she was the lead point of contact for the UK wind industry on aviation and radar issues. More recently, she became Chief Operating Officer to provide strategic direction to the company’s growth plans.

Osprey would like to thank Nic for her professionalism, energy and dedication to the company. Not only has she been a very popular member of the team, she will also be missed by many of our clients who regularly call on her expertise to provide advice & support on their aviation mitigation strategies.

Jon Arden, Managing Director, said “Without Nic, Osprey would not be the Company it is today. She has helped to lead us through some challenging periods, and her sheer hard work has ensured that we have responded well to market changes and have evolved as a company. We will miss Nic tremendously, whilst being a little bit jealous of her new life. However, I am sure she will remain a great friend and won’t be a stranger.”

When we dined Nic out this week there was plenty of laughter and even a few tears. During her leaving speech, she said “Osprey is really going places. The people are all fantastic, they nurture relationships and are experts in their game – so there is no end to where they can take the company, and that is such an exciting place to be!

I never imagined leaving, and so many of you have become great friends. But for now, I’m looking forward to sharing a new adventure with my family. I will be looking out for news of the awards and recognition you will be getting for the great work that you do.”

Wishing you the very best of luck in Dubai – you will be greatly missed by your friends, colleagues and clients!

MD’s note: If you phone Osprey and can’t get through, we are probably on holiday in Dubai.
