Osprey is pleased to announce its inclusion in the latest European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Regulatory Impact Assessment Framework Agreement.
The objective of the framework, entitled Framework Service Contract for Provision of Support to Impact Assessment & Evaluation of EASA Rules (ASSESS II), is to provide EASA with external expertise to ensure objectivity and high level technical services to support the Agency’s Rulemaking activities. This will involve undertaking Preliminary Impact Assessments, Regulatory Impact Assessments and Ex-Post Evaluations to identify any implications such rules may inadvertently generate.
Analysis will also need to cover all aspects of EASA’s aviation safety remit including Flight Standards, Product Safety, Air Traffic Management, Air Navigation Systems and Aerodromes.
Under the new framework, EASA will gain ready access to key technical skills, but with contracting made faster and efficient through pre-agreed contractual terms and conditions.
Jon Arden, Managing Director at Osprey said: “Being part of this new framework and having the opportunity to work with such a large and influential agency like EASA is extremely important to us. EASA plays a pivotal role in promoting aviation safety worldwide and our inclusion reflects highly on our unrivalled experience and expertise in safety, airworthiness and Air Traffic Management.”
