Osprey CSL is delighted to announce that, after a 6 month acquisition process, it has today sold its entire share capital to TP Group plc (tpgroup), the specialist services and engineering group and a global leader in consulting, digital solutions and engineering services across defence, space and energy programmes.
As a tpgroup company, Osprey expects that the acquisition will bring significant benefits to our existing and future clients across the civil and defence markets. We will immediately benefit from clear synergies within the Group in delivering specialist consulting, project management and software services to the highly regulated and safety-critical civil and military markets, enabling Osprey to provide an enhanced offering. The acquisition will also enable significant growth in new and emerging markets including unmanned aircraft, carbon neutral aviation and a growing space launch capability in the UK.
Osprey will become a subsidiary organisation within tpgroup as part of its existing consulting value stream. Existing and future clients will therefore benefit from Osprey’s continued technical excellence but with the support of the Group and its other members. As such, the Osprey Management Team will remain largely unchanged and will continue to lead and oversee Osprey’s activities and operations. Peter Giles, Founder & Chairman of Osprey and David Fisher, a Non-Executive Director, have both taken the opportunity to step down at the point of sale to begin their retirement.

We have already recognised that tpgroup shares many of our values and we believe our clients and friends will see immediate benefits in this new alliance. Whilst I am excited for the future, I must also pay tribute to my business partner of 14 years Peter Giles and our outstanding NED David Fisher, both of whom are taking very well earned retirement. We will miss them both but will see them often for beer and memories.”
