The Osprey Team is about to embark on a ‘virtual’ walk to raise money for our charity partner Deptherapy. Collectively, we are aiming to walk the equivalent of the Egyptian Embassy in London to Roots in El Quesir AND BACK by the end of July 2018.
This means that 22 intrepid Osprey employees from our Bristol, Farnborough, Lincoln and Northallerton offices will walk 10,000 steps every single day in June and July over 60 days. A total exceeding 12 million steps in all – we’ll have meetings and conference calls on the move, brave the elements before and after work and embrace walking instead of lunching!
Why Egypt?
We specifically chose El Quesir in Egypt because of its close association with Deptherapy – this is where all Deptherapy students experience their very first scuba diving expedition.
How you can help us reach our fundraising target
If you would like to sponsor us, you can make a donation via our JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ospreycsl

About Deptherapy
Deptherapy seeks to rehabilitate UK Armed Services personnel and veterans who have suffered life changing physical or mental injuries/illnesses through specially designed scuba diving programmes. Research in the USA has shown the positive effects of scuba diving on those with high levels of physical challenge and for victims of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), a reduction of 80% in reported symptoms.
We know that we don’t just change lives, we save lives. We need your help to run more programmes – your support will change and save lives.
