MAA MRP Coherency Study

Scroll

Osprey is delighted to have been awarded a new contract with the Military Aviation Authority (MAA) for an independent specialist coherency review of the whole MAA Regulatory Publications (MRP).

Osprey will be proving specialist regulatory support to review the whole MRP to identify required amendments as a result of a rewrite to regulations changing; the Air System Safety Case (ASSC) regime (Regulatory Article (RA) 1205) and the re-categorisation of aviation activities within the Defence Air Environment (RA1120) series. The task will involve proposing regulatory amendments to ensure coherency across the MRP. Key activities to be undertaken will include;

  • Identification of existing RAs where RA1120 series, RA1100 and RA1205 are referenced or the changes thereof impact other RAs;
  • Identification of existing regulation that will be influenced by the new regulatory changes;
  • Proposing regulatory amendment to ensure coherency across the MRP.

Peter Symons, Platforms and Air Systems Team Leader at Osprey said “We are delighted to working with the MAA on this important project. Osprey have a very strong regulatory and safety background, indeed all of our project team have worked in the MAA at some time in their careers! Our regulatory experience, safety pedigree combined with our structured approach and dedication to the task, will ensure we deliver.’
