For the past 18 months Osprey has been working hard to provide engineering services and technical support to the Apache Capability Sustainment Programme (CSP) as part of Team ASSIST (QinetiQ, Atkins, Osprey and Jacobs).
Specifically, Osprey are providing subject matter expertise to support the certification, qualification and safety management of the Apache AH-64E Attack Helicopter to enable the new Air System to be brought into service in a timely manner. We are involved with multiple elements of this process including certification and configuration management technical support, loss model technical assessment, propulsion integrity product support, Alternative Acceptable Means of Compliance (AAMC) waiver and exemptions and Equipment Safety Assessment (ESA) development.
Peter Symons, Business Development Director at Osprey said “Being part of Team ASSIST and making a positive difference to the programme has been so rewarding for us. Our Air System certification capability has been growing in strength, so being part of such an important military capability is really exciting and testament to the excellent people in the team. By working closely with our partners and the Apache DT we have been able to deliver an effective, efficient and technically excellent airworthiness offering, helping to bring the new Apache Air System into service.”
