We are delighted to welcome Nigel Ibbetson to Osprey as a Senior Consultant in our Airports and Airspace Team. Nigel is a highly experienced aviation expert, specialising in Air Traffic Control and Airfield Operations.
Following a 30 year career in the RAF, he brings extensive Senior Air Traffic Control Officer (SATCO) expertise with a flexible approach that is adaptable to customer demands. Nigel has worked at a number of UK and International Airfields and En-route Centres. He has also been an Airfield Operator in Shropshire and North Yorkshire and has first-hand experience of the implementation of Programme MARSHALL and practical knowledge of working and coordinating drone usage in busy, complex airspace.
Lindsay Perks, Airports and Airspace Team Leader at Osprey said “Nigel is a very welcome addition to the team and brings a wealth of experience from many leadership and managerial roles. He is already working with many of our Airport clients to provide advice on airspace change, aeronautical information governance and airfield safeguarding.”
Nigel will be based at our Northallerton office.
