The latest Queen’s speech outlined measures to create new powers to license a wide range of new commercial spaceflight operations, including vertically-launched rockets, spaceplanes, spaceports and other technologies. Shortly afterwards, the introduction of the UK Space Industry Bill to the House of Lords on 27th June 2017 was a critical step towards the creation of the associated enabling regulatory framework.
