We are delighted to welcome Nigel Hewitt, Principal Consultant and Alice Thurlow, Head of Finance to Osprey.
Nigel is an experienced Airworthiness and Air Safety Engineer and joins us following a secondment to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) where he was the Programme Manager and Policy Specialist for Unmanned Aircraft Systems with responsibility for developing international and national civil regulations and requirements for the emerging UAS market.
Before his secondment to the CAA, Nigel worked as an Airworthiness Analyst for the Military Aviation Authority (MAA) where he provided safety case assessments for an extensive portfolio covering all UK military rotary wing and Remotely Piloted Air Systems (RPAS) either in service or under development.
Mike Spencer, Engineering Director at Osprey said “Nigel will be a great asset to our Engineering Team. His extensive experience in safety case development and analysis in both the civil and military environments will mean that he can hit the ground running and immediately start adding value to the safety and airworthiness programmes that we are currently delivering for the MOD and the Regulator.”
Alice also joins us to take up a new position as Head of Finance. Alice is an experienced Chartered Accountant following 15 years with Eden McCallum LLP in London as Head of Finance and HR.
