One of the most important emergency services operating in the UK is the Fire Service. Called upon 24 hours a day 365 days a year the Fire Service answers thousands of emergency calls ranging from serious industrial accidents to car accidents to house fires.
Thanks to the support received from Osprey Consulting Services Ltd, Rich Connelly, Director Operations has fulfilled a long-term ambition of becoming a volunteer Retained Fire Fighter with Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS). Rich joined HFRS in April and since then he has given much of his spare time to training at his local Station. However, thanks to support from Osprey, he was recently able to complete the full time training course at HFRS Headquarters that sees him become a qualified member of the Brockenhurst Crew.
Jon Arden, Osprey Managing Director said “Congratulations to Rich on this great achievement. At Osprey we pride ourselves on our community support and engagement; from our close links with Lincoln University and visiting schools to talk about the benefits and challenges of renewable energy, to supporting a wide range of ex-Service charities and Youth Groups.”
Retained firefighters are a vital part of today’s Fire and Rescue Service and are regularly called upon to attend the full range of incidents including fires, floods, road traffic collisions, chemical spills and more.
