Spaceport
Osprey’s expert knowledge of the Space Industry Act (SIA) 2018, means we are uniquely placed to provide expert advice to Spaceport developers and operators alike. Our staff have contributed to the development of the Space Industry Regulations (SIR) and are also advising UK Spaceport developers in the application of the new space regulations and existing aviation regulations, to develop ‘first of type’ space launch capability in the UK.
Our experience is particularly relevant to horizontal spaceports, where existing aerodrome infrastructure is likely to be used to facilitate the operating of the spaceport. Our capability in Safeguarding, Airspace and Air Traffic Management Systems relies on compliance with the following civil regulatory frameworks:
