Independent Safety Advisor (ISA) / Auditor
Using a broad and knowledgeable pool of staff, Osprey have extensive experience of providing ISA support across a range of complex and novel systems. We understand the often-unique challenges faced by our client-base and has the detailed knowledge and experience of the legal and safety regulatory framework to provide effective and flexible support to meet the demands of the programme deliverables.
This ISA role recognises that fully objective safety assurance requires a view that is truly independent of the Client and the Supplier. In particular the ISA must determine that the regulatory and other Contractual Safety Requirements have been both understood and fully met in relation to the scope of supply. In addition, the ISA must establish that the rigour of the System Safety Case is appropriate to the level of safety risk presented by the system and the supporting arguments and evidence is complete, compelling, and accurate. Typically, the Osprey approach to ISA support is to nominate a highly experienced and competent main ISA supported by a team of other highly competent Subject Matter Experts (SME).
Osprey operate in accordance with the “Code of Practice for Independent Safety Assessors”.
