Paul EldredTeam Leader - ATM Systems
Paul is a Chartered Engineer with significant Systems Engineering and Programme Management experience in both the aviation and automotive domains. Paul leads the Air Traffic Management Systems Team and joined Osprey from an engineering leadership role at BorgWarner, a global automotive supplier specialising in vehicle electrification systems. Before this, Paul worked for Jaguar Land Rover, leading a multidisciplined team developing a range of innovative interior systems to increase human factor awareness of the driver and passengers in future model ranges.
Between 2011 and 2017, Paul was a senior aviation consultant leading the requirements definition, procurement and assured entry into operational service of a range of communications, navigation and surveillance equipment, including primary surveillance radar systems, voice communications, navigational aids and full turnkey delivery of new control tower capability.
Paul served 21 years in the Royal Air Force, employed in communication and air traffic management (ATM) engineering roles. His final tour was as Functional Safety Engineer for military ATM capability providing safety management advice to procurement and capability agencies and front-line operators. Paul has experience in conducting safety assessments and compiling equipment safety cases to meet regulatory requirements. He holds an MSc in Safety Critical Systems Engineering from the University of York.
